ABOUT The Duo and Other Members
The Texas Duo known as "Texas Crossing" are native Texans. Their high energy traditional style country mixed with contemporary sounds is bound to bring your audience to their feet. They deliver the classic country sounds with a fun twist.
Texas Crossing has played over 100 shows in 2017 across the region including; Clark Garden Botanical Park Antique Car Show, Crossroads Steakhouse and Saloon, Broken Spoke , The Brazos Valley Fair (Bryan/ College Station opening for Earl Thomas Conley), Laguna Bob's (South Padre Island), Alamo Ice House (San Antonio) Gatesville Country Music Hall of Fame, The Buchanan Dam Beach Club, The 33rd Annual Bluebonnet Festival, The 34th Annual Bluebonnet Festival, Old Main Ice House, Rambin Rose, and has many new venues and festivals already in the works for 2018!
They have opened or co-billed headliner for Doug Stone, Jade Jack, Bri Bagwell, Breelen Angel, Katy Hamlin, Jason Boland, The Stragglers, Steel Penny, JB and The Moonshine Band, Sam Riggs, Kevin Fowler, Earl Thomas Conley, with many more to be announced in 2018!
Meet The Band:
Colt Buckelew (lead vocalist/lead guitar) has been in the business for well over 35+ years. Texas music is what he prefers with his deep, raspy voice and charmingly good looks, he has given a new face to country. His ability to poetically comprise such heartfelt lyrics helps one to understand his musical idols!
Tiffany Valentine (lead vocalist/rhythm guitar), is an accomplished musician blessed with a deep bluesy vocal. Tiffany's passion for music is evident in her performance as she leaves her songs 150% on the stage for her audience. She has an incredible ability to make sure you feel the songs as deeply as she does.
The band mainly consist of Colt and Tiffany. They provide a very entertaining acoustic song swap! Since they are Not your average duo, you’ll hear one sing lead on a song, and back and forth they will go, captivating your audience into staying to hear what is sang next! If necessary, a trio, or full band can be pulled in!

Meet the other Players...
Billy "Wildchild" Highsmith
Billy "Wild Child" Highsmith has been with Texas Crossing since its beginnings in Colt Buckelew and The Crossroads in 1992. He is a valued member of the team, playing lead guitar and writing songs with Colt or by himself. At age 11, Billy began playing on an acoustic guitar, bought at a yard sale for $25. He grew up musically to the likes of Randy Rhoads and Van Halen, but was always a fan of classic country music. He played for bands such as, Mirror Image, Blackfoot Rising, Highdro Flash, The Texas Train Wreck, Trial by Fire, Colt Buckelew & the Crossroads, and Texas Crossing. In 2002, Mirror Image closed the night out for Doug Supernaw. His band won the Battle of the Bands in San Marcos and Austin in 2003. He was the guitar player for KXAN News story on "Put your Guitar where your Mouth is Tour". Being a prodigy of Randy Rhoades, we sometimes have to bring him back to the country side of things, but he never gets further out of hand than allowed!
Gene Howison
Gene Howison is one hell of a drummer. He played drums in high school, and actually played at Carnegie Hall. A drummer since high school, he has played with a few bands including; Colt Buckelew & the Crossroads, and Texas Crossing specifically as well as many individual shows done with Billy Highsmith! Driven by a passion for music deep from his family roots, he strives to make a career in music. He enjoys playing any chance he can!
Vic Andrews
This incredible talent started his musical journey at the age of just 3 years old! After years of touring solo, he decided to serve his country by joining the United States Naval Academy at age 17! After 6 years of service as a US Marine, including 2 tours in the Middle East, he was stationed stateside, and began developing his own style of original performance and sound. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Vic on our album; Country's Redemption (TBA). He not only added his own style with playing fiddle, dobro, and harmonica, but he brought to life a vision we had only dreamed of at that moment! He has selflessly gone out of his way to help us in any way as well as play live shows with us needed!
